Defranco Sarabia is a proud descendant of the San Jose Mission who draws upon his Spanish and Indigenous heritage to deepen his love for the cherished community. With innate talents in community development and communications, he engages neighbors in vital ecological restoration projects and social services. Growing up on the southside and graduating from Palo Alto College, he now serves as the Volunteer and Communications Coordinator for the American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions. His passion for the food forest project stems from a desire to bring joy to families and create green jobs that support both the community and natural ecosystems. Through partnership development, city-scale research and engagement, and K-college career development, he is dedicated to fostering a vibrant, sustainable future for the community.
