Revving up for a greener San Antonio!
Trees & Torque is a community-driven program created to deepen the engagement, education, and impact of environmental stewardship in South Central Texas. This initiative merges environmental awareness with community celebration, focusing on sustainable practices, air quality improvement, and urban tree canopy expansion through interactive and meaningful community engagement.
The heart of Trees & Torque centers on uniting diverse community members, businesses, and local organizations to champion tree conservation and urban forestry awareness. This program emphasizes trees as essential “air and shade mechanics,” playing a critical role in mitigating San Antonio’s air quality challenges, reducing heat island effects, and fostering climate resilience.

*Those wishing to show a vehicle or become a vendor will pay an entrance fee.
Trees and Torque will feature sustainable transportation options, showcase local organizations dedicated to climate resiliency and environmental education, and engage the community with:
- educational exhibits
- cultural performances
- a tree adoption program
This important fundraising event will focus on the significant issue of air pollution, including ozone and particulate matter (PM2.5), and highlight trees’ critical role in improving air quality, cooling urban areas, and enhancing overall livability in the city.
