Become a Tree Steward
The Tree Buds Citizen Forester Program
This program trains volunteers to prune young trees in San Antonio parks. It runs on the first Saturday of the month from October to May.
Want to give back to your community and make a lasting impact? Join the Tree Buds Citizen Forester Program! This program, sponsored by the Alamo Forest Partnership, San Antonio Arborists Association, and Bexar Branches Alliance, is designed to empower citizens like you to care for San Antonio’s young trees.
Through hands-on training, you’ll learn proper pruning techniques to improve the health and structure of these new trees. This care is essential to their survival and long-term growth, supporting the city’s Parks and Recreation Department’s tree-planting initiatives.
Become a Tree Bud and help San Antonio’s urban forest flourish! The program runs on the first Saturday of every month, from October to May.
