Tree Trail Trek with Mary Lou Vertetis & Dana Orth

Tree Trek: A Wellness Walk at French Creek Greenway
Join Dana Orth and Mary Lou Vertetis for a one-of-a-kind tree trek through the Stanley Spigel Trailhead at French Creek Greenway! This guided walk weaves together sustainability, urban forestry, native plants, and personal wellness into an experience that’s equal parts educational and soul-nourishing.
We’ll explore the trees that line our trails, dig into what keeps them healthy, and discover what that just might have to do with keeping ourselves healthy too. From root flares to shade moments, from plant mysteries to the simple joy of touching bark — this walk has something for everyone.
What to expect: Approximately 1–1.5 hours. Route includes paved sidewalks, gravel, and natural dirt trails. Some sections may be uneven or muddy depending on weather.

Come prepared:

Curiosity welcome, tree knowledge not required!
