Rooted Resilience Tree Adoption at Chicho Boys Produce Market!

Bexar Branches Alliance will host a free community tree adoption event at Chicho Boys Produce on November 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through our Rooted Resilience Program. Rooted Resilience was BBA’s pilot program, created to offer income-qualified homeowners free tree care services to help maintain their mature trees. The Avenida Guadalupe neighborhood was selected for this effort because it has the lowest tree equity score and canopy coverage in the City of San Antonio. With the remaining program funds, we are excited to host this free tree adoption, where we will distribute 250 trees along with tree. Volunteers are welcome to join us to help distribute trees and assist with plantings as we continue to grow a healthier, more resilient community.
